This book gave me what I needed to prepare for my first dashboard project. Good background in the ETL and back-end technologies required, good coverage of best practices for KPI design, and the 100+ full color dashboard examples gave me many ideas for my own dashboards. There were also some useful tips from the “Dashboard Project Management” sections that I used.

I thought I new pretty much there is to know about B.I. and Dashboard technology.
Then I read this book. Wow, after 30 years in the industry I learned a bunch of new things about Dashboarding techniques and B.I. in general. This book has it all. Great for beginners in the Business Intelligence world as well as seasoned veterans. I recommend this book to all levels of professionals, from the `What is B.I.?’ executive, to the `How can I improve my B.I. experience for my users’ Data Warehousing professional.
